Event Manager M/F/X

We’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Event Manager to take full ownership of our event strategy in the UK. This role is crucial to driving brand visibility, generating leads, and creating exceptional experiences for our audiences. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love managing everything from A to Z, and have a proven track record of executing flawless events, we want to hear from you.

 

Your main responsibilities

Event Strategy & Roadmap (30%):

  • Build a comprehensive event roadmap aligned with the Cluster’s business objectives and priorities.
  • Research, identify, and select the most relevant events in the UK to maximise impact.
  • Develop and execute original event concepts from scratch, including in-person events, webinars, or other formats, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Take full ownership of event ideation, planning, and execution while staying within the allocated budget, investing smartly, and being frugal where necessary.
  • Develop event KPIs, forecast results, and report on ROI.

 

End-to-End Event Management (40%):

  • Take full ownership of event planning, logistics, and execution, covering all aspects from A to Z.
  • Handle venue selection, vendor negotiations, budget management, and booth/merchandising production.
  • Develop and implement promotion plans to ensure maximum attendance and engagement.
  • Manage on-site execution, including setup, operations, and breakdown, ensuring seamless delivery.

 

Sales Enablement & Collaboration and Cross-Functional Collaboration (25%):

  • Act as the key liaison with the sales team, keeping them informed at every stage of the event process.
  • Motivate and engage the sales team to maximise their involvement and drive event success.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads generated at events, tracking progress and outcomes.
  • Create and implement post-event nurturing flows to drive lead conversion.
  • Analyse event performance, gather feedback, and optimise future event strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and dashboards, presenting regular updates during Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align events with broader campaigns and brand strategy.
  • Partner with external vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

 

Continuous Improvement (5%):

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and bring fresh, creative ideas to enhance our event presence.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and business needs with a solutions-driven mindset.

 

Your future impact

In 6 months, you will have accomplished:

  • Successfully built and executed an event roadmap that aligns with the cluster’s objectives.
  • Delivered at least two high-impact events (in-person or webinars), achieving set KPIs and staying within budget.
  • Established strong collaboration with the sales team, ensuring they are fully engaged and following up on leads promptly.
  • Implemented effective post-event nurturing flows that have resulted in measurable lead conversions.
  • Streamlined event management processes, improving efficiency and clarity across planning, execution, and reporting.

 

In 1 year, you will have accomplished:

  • Consistently delivered a series of successful events that significantly contribute to lead generation and brand visibility.
  • Proven the ROI of your event strategy through detailed performance analysis and reporting.
  • Conceptualised and executed original event ideas that have become benchmarks for future planning.
  • Built strong relationships with key vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Established yourself as the go-to expert for all event-related activities within the organisation, driving innovation and excellence in the UK market.

Skills required

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in marketing and event management, preferably in a Tech environment.
  • Proven expertise in planning, promoting, and executing events of varying sizes and complexity.
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and making quick decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management tools; experience with CRM is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
