We are seeking a Windows System Engineer with DevOps skill set to join our CIO team at OVHcloud. This team designs, develops, and maintains the products, services, and infrastructures that shape the future of our cloud solutions. Always on the lookout for innovation, these passionate fans are focused on solving complex technological problems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and automating Windows environments using tools like Puppet, with additional exposure to Linux systems being highly desirable. The role also demands proficiency in GIT/Bitbucket, Terraform, and CI/CD tools. Familiarity with VMware and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), and server monitoring using Icinga/Nagios is essential.

Your main responsibilities :

You join the GPIO assist team and will be in charge of the following missions.

  • Windows Server Administration: Manage and maintain Windows server environments ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Automation: Utilize automation tools such as Puppet to streamline and automate server management tasks.
  • Linux Systems: Provide support and administration for Linux systems as needed.
  • Version Control: Use GIT/Bitbucket for source code management and version control.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implementand manage infrastructure using Terraform.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Should be able to understand working of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Virtualization: Administer and manage virtualized environments using VMware.
  • Server Monitoring: Use Icinga/Nagios for proactive server monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, configurations, and processes

 

Skills required :

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in Windows Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools, particularly Puppet.
  • Proficiency with GIT/Bitbucket for version control.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware for virtualization.
  • Proficient in using Icinga/Nagios for server monitoring.
  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift model and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Should be willing to work in shifts to ensure continuous coverage and support for IT operations.
  • Have a great sense of service and should be able to create a positive impact on your internal and / or external contacts.
  • You are open to the world and working in an international context is an important aspect for you.
  • You are independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 


That's a plus :

  • Exposure to Linux administration is a plus.
