ESP, OUR EMPLOYEE SHARE PLAN: AT OVHCLOUD, THE CLOUD ALSO BELONGS TO THOSE WHO BUILD IT
At OVHcloud, we don't just talk about growth, tech, and sovereign cloud. We also talk about sharing. Sharing the value, the project, and the future of the company with those who drive it forward every day.
This is precisely the ambition of ESP, our Employee Share Plan: a global employee shareholderplan that allows our employees, who wish to do so, to become OVHcloud shareholders under advantageous conditions.
FROM THE STOCK EXCHANGE TO EMPLOYEE SHAREHOLDER: A COLLECTIVE ADVENTURE
OVHcloud's Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Euronext Paris in 2021 marked a key milestone in our history. Rather than making it an adventure reserved for investors only, we made a clear choice: to involve our teams as widely as possible in the company's capital from the very first day of listing.
That’s when ESP, our first major employee shareholder plan, was launched. The success was immediate. Campaign after campaign, employees have chosen to reinvest in the OVHcloud project, to the point where today:
- Around 60% of employees participate in ESP operations every year, all countries combined.
- Over 74% of OVHcloud employees are shareholders.
Behind these figures stands a simple reality: the people who design our products, operate our data centers, support our customers or assist our teams daily are also, very concretely, stakeholders in the value created.
ESP IN PRACTICE: A GLOBAL, ACCESSIBLE, AND STRUCTURED PLAN
ESP's objective is twofold: to make employee shareholder accessible to the largest number of people and to adapt it to the local specificities of each country where we operate.
Who is Eligible?
ESP is aimed at employees who:
- Benefit from the global incentive plan linked to the company's results.
- Meet a minimum seniority requirement (for example, 3 months as of August 31st for the FY25 campaign).
- Are part of the workforce at the time of subscription.
The idea is simple: if you contribute to the results, you can also choose to become a shareholder of those results, at your own scale.
How Does It Work?
The ESP principle is based on a few key mechanisms:
- You choose to invest all or part of your global incentive plan in OVHcloud shares.
- OVHcloud adds a contribution, which is an additional contribution paid by the company, according to a common group-wide scale.
- Your investment and the matching contribution are paid into an employee savings plan adapted to your country (PEG, PEGI, or dedicated plan), allowing you to gradually build a share savings portfolio.
In most cases, you can therefore become a shareholder without mobilizing additional personal funds: you simply use part of your incentive plan, boosted by the company's matching contribution.

Beyond the financial aspect, ESP reflects a strong commitment from OVHcloud regarding how we share the value created:
- Recognizing the teams' commitment by directly associating them with the capital.
- Strengthening the link between collective performance and individual success.
- Encouraging a long-term vision, aligned with our industrial ambition and our model of a sovereign, sustainable, and open cloud.
ESP stands alongside other recognition plans, such as the Kudos program, which, for example, allows the conversion of seniority-linked points into various options, including OVHcloud shares. We will tell you more about Kudos in a future post! The idea remains the same: making value sharing a reflex, not an exceptional event.
