LOOKING BACK AT LEHACK 2026: OVHCLOUD POWERS FRANCE’S LARGEST HACKING CONVENTION!
At OVHcloud, security and closeness to the tech community are part of our DNA. It was therefore only natural for our teams to attend the 2026 edition of LeHack, the ultimate event for ethical hacking and cybersecurity in France.
As a historical sponsor of the event for 12 years now, our presence is masterfully orchestrated every year by Sébastien. A true pillar of this adventure, he has driven this partnership and behind-the-scenes organisation since day one. Our teams were once again on the field to deploy and manage the system and network infrastructure essential to the famous Wargame (CTF). A demanding configuration that put participants' skills to the test during a whole sleepless night!
🛠️ A FLAWLESS INFRASTRUCTURE THANKS TO OUR EXPERTS
No wargame without a clean network, and no clean network without OVHcloud! This year again, the technical challenge was huge to welcome thousands of enthusiasts and professionals.
Hugo, Jérôme, and Cameron, coming straight from our Croix and Roubaix sites, lent a hand to pull kilometers of cables and ensure the servers held up against the repeated assaults of the participants.
🛡️ FOCUS ON SECURITY AT OVHCLOUD: A HOLISTIC GOVERNANCE
The event was the perfect opportunity to highlight how we protect our sovereign cloud on a daily basis. Driven by Julien, our CISO, OVHcloud’s security strategy is structured cross-functionally and agilely around 5 major pillars of expertise:
- The SOC: our operational control tower, responsible for continuously monitoring, detecting, and analysing weak signals and suspicious activities across our infrastructures.
- The CERT: our cyber-firefighters, experts in incident response, digital forensics (DFIR), and Threat Intelligence to counter threats.
- Security for Customer: our international team guaranteeing security-oriented customer relations. They operate across the entire trust chain, from formalising our product documentation to achieving sector-specific certifications, while supporting our sales forces.
- ISMS Management: the drivers of our governance, risk management, and compliance (SecNumCloud, ISO 27001, HDS, PCI DSS...) to guarantee the highest market standards.
- Physical Security: because logical security is inseparable from hardware security, this team ensures strict physical protection and access control for our datacenters worldwide.
🤝 KNOWLEDGE-SHARING AND SYNERGIES WITH THE ECOSYSTEM
LeHack is also the ideal moment to strengthen ties with the entire cyber ecosystem and key institutions, but also to reconnect with familiar faces from the community year after year. Our experts shared their feedback and debated industry best practices:
- Julien, our CISO, joined us on Saturday to discuss our global security and governance challenges.
- Guillaume, our Quantum Director, shared his vision on the threats and opportunities of disruptive technologies (notably post-quantum cryptography).
- Magali, our Cyber Talent Acquisition Manager, shared her market insights, discussed career paths, and spotted future cyber talents.
- Stéphane, Yoann, and Tristan, proudly representing the OVHcloud SOC and CERT, were there to share their field expertise in detection and remediation.
- Vincent, who travelled all the way from OVHcloud Dallas, brought his international perspective on transatlantic security challenges.
🎮 THE OVHCLOUD BOOTH AND A VIBECODED CHALLENGE
Throughout the event, our booth was constantly buzzing. In addition to passionate discussions with candidates and tech enthusiasts, the team had prepared a little surprise: a homemade vibecoded speed test! The concept? A keyboard typing speed game where the goal was to virtually rack servers as fast as possible.
The activity drew crowds all weekend long, especially since the top performers walked away with one of the 20 awesome OVHcloud frisbees up for grabs. A fun way to test the reflexes of our future talents!
