What we do at DataOffice?

DataOffice team is responsible for analysing the needs of business data, and managing the various activities allowing the provision of data (structured and functional) to the various contacts of the company such as Data analysts, BI, data scientists, leadership and management. We are the team which in-charge of managing internal databases, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes in multiple environments including production environments on OVHcloud. On day-today basis, our team ensure the availability and reliability of databases including : Big Data / Data Lake (Hadoop); Microsoft BDD (SQL Server); Data Visualisation / BI (Table).


Roles and Responsibility 


What will be the Roles ?

• Investigate incidents arising from Data platform and coordinate efforts to correct them. Also identify recurring incidents and their origins.

• Participate in Change Management and Requests, in particular for putting technical evolutions into production;

• Be proactive on errors, write technical documentation and identify good practices;

• Ensure the operational maintenance of the Data BI platform - Data Lake (Hadoop); Microsoft BDD (SQL Server); Data Visualisation / BI (Table).

• Innovate and propose changes to the infrastructure to adapt to needs;


What will be the Responsibility ?

• Responsible to manage Incidents and will be the point of contact for the team.

• Interface between the core DataOffice team and internal users (BI, CRM, Digit Tools, etc)

• Investigate complex incidents to drive resolution and coordinate with other support and product teams.

• In charge of implementing change and apply patch based on documentation provided.

• Participate in the continuity of services by integrating the perimeter of the team's on-call.

• Communicate to our customers about changes, incidents and maintenance

• Participate in the development of documentation

• Constantly relax your technical expertise to administer a wide range of Data Platform including - Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Databases services and its infrastructures.


Primary Skillset

• 6 to 8 years of experience working in a DataOps context

• Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal with clear language accent.

• ITIL Process adherence - ServiceNow/or any equivalent standard ticketing tool

• DBA Administration - MS platform: Window Server and SQL Server administration - 2016-19

• Experience on handling incidents arising from Big data, Data Lake (Hadoop), Microsoft BDD (SQL Server), Data Visualisation.

• Knowledge of the Hadoop Stack (HDFS, Hive, etc.) is a MUST.

• ETL SSIS exposure is a plus • Knowledge on Tableau Server and / or PowerBI is a plus

• Exposure to Monitoring tools, platforms, and associated processes.

• Open to work in Shifts - 24*7 on rotation basis.
